Calgary’s Culture + Entertainment District continues its transformation with the announcement of a new 320-room boutique hotel by Truman, to be built directly within Stampede Park. The $330 million investment includes a 13-storey, full-service tower featuring 15,000 sq. ft. of event space, 14,000 sq. ft. of F&B outlets, and luxury amenities like a rooftop lounge, leisure terrace, and indoor fitness club.
The hotel is designed to meet growing demand driven by the expanded BMO Centre, which has already hosted 409 events since opening in mid-2024, with another 205 major bookings secured through 2032. With Scotia Place under construction and the 17th Ave S.E. extension now open, this project will further solidify Stampede Park as Calgary’s premier convention and event anchor.
For Calgary’s hospitality and mixed-use markets, the Truman development signals sustained momentum—and opportunity—across the Beltline and East Victoria Park. As the Stampede evolves into a year-round economic driver, CRE demand is expected to rise in accommodation, retail, and event-aligned assets.
