Happy Belly Food Group (OTCQB: HBFGF) continues to grow its national QSR footprint with the signing of a new franchise agreement for its Heal Wellness brand in Calgary’s Britannia neighbourhood. This marks the brand’s 7th Calgary location and 10th in Alberta, part of a broader 15-unit provincial rollout.
Slated to open in Q4 2025, the new store is strategically located just off Elbow Drive—positioned to benefit from a steady blend of residential foot traffic and nearby daytime commercial activity. Heal Wellness offers plant-forward, health-conscious menu options, contributing to Calgary’s evolving fast casual scene.
Nationally, the brand now has 195 units under development agreements, with parent company Happy Belly overseeing a 616-location portfolio through a combined corporate and franchise strategy. Several additional locations are currently under construction and expected to open throughout 2025.
This latest move underscores continued tenant demand for premium QSR locations in mixed-use neighbourhoods—and highlights Calgary’s role in shaping health-driven consumer offerings in Western Canada.
