Montreal-based Polykar is investing $20 million to expand its Edmonton manufacturing facility — doubling production capacity just three years after first establishing operations in Alberta. The 50,000 sq. ft. expansion will add a new product line incorporating more recycled content and create 25 permanent and 63 temporary jobs. Polykar is also receiving $770,000 through Alberta’s Investment and Growth Fund, which supports high-impact private-sector investments. This expansion highlights growing confidence in Alberta’s manufacturing and industrial base.
