Alberta is investing $49 million in 18 circular economy projects

Expected to create 1,600 jobs, cut 3.4M tonnes of emissions, and add $233M to the economy by 2027.


Funded through the TIER program and managed by Emissions Reduction Alberta, these projects include carbon nanofibers from woodchips, polyethylene recycling by NOVA Chemicals, and waste-to-fiber conversion by Hughes Energy Group.
